Marvelous Features Of The 2021 Chevrolet Colorado

The second-generation Chevy Colorado was first introduced in the 2015 model year, tagging GM's official return to the midsize pickup truck section. Since its introduction, Colorado had clawed its way to the second best-selling spot in its part until the new Ford Ranger pushed it down to third.

Many people hoped that GM would give Colorado a facelift, but that never happened. Instead, the truck received minor changes and updates throughout its life. The 2021 model year Chevy brings a few more notable changes, including a slightly reworked front end, revised trim levels, packages, and more.

Stunning Exterior:

The most noticeable exterior change for the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado is a slightly revised front fascia:

  • The WT, LT, and Z71 models have new center bars, lower fascias, and skid plates.
  • According to Chevrolet, the ZR2 gets a new front fascia that looks more aggressive than before while also improving drivers' visibility.

New Chevrolet emblems are also featured on the redesigned front ends:

  • WT and LT models feature a new gold Chevrolet bowtie logo.
  • 2021 Chevrolet Colorado Z71 gets a black bowtie logo.
  • The ZR2 has a "CHEVROLET" lettered grille with a "flowtie," previously available on the ZR2 Bison.

Also, the Colorado ZR2 now comes standard with red tow hooks.

All 2021 Colorado models now have embossed "Chevrolet" tailgates in place of the traditional Chevy bowtie.

Three new colors, Metallic bright blue, Sand Dune Metallic, and Cherry Red Tintcoat. have been added to the color palette, while five others have been removed.

There have also been some changes added to the wheels and tires that are available, which are as follows:

New rims:

  • Steel wheels measuring 17 in. x 8 in. in Ultra Silver Metallic (RAP)
  • 17-inch x 8-inch (43.2 cm x 20.3 cm) Wheels made of bright machined aluminium (RIM)
  • A 17-x-8-inch steel wheel and tire will replace the 16-x7-inch steel spare wheel and tire.

Since the Work Truck trim has been phased out, so has the optional Work Truck Appearance package, which included the following items:

  • 16 inches by 7 inches (40.6 cm x 17.8 cm) Cast aluminum wheels in Ultra Silver Metallic
  • Power-adjustable, body-color, remote-controlled, manual-folding mirrors on the outside
  • Mirror with a spotter
  • Chrome beltline moldings and a body-color rear bumper
  • The door handles in the same color as the body

The following LPO-level changes can be found on the exterior of the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado:

New LPO items include Black tailgate lettering and Accessory Suspension Leveling Kit.

Spectacular Interior:

The auto-dimming rearview mirror is now standard on LT models in the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado. Previously, this feature was optional on the LT trims, with the manual day/night mirror standard on the Work Truck, LT trim, and base models.

Besides, the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado interior comes with Infotainment 3 system with an 8-inch diagonal color touchscreen, AM/FM stereo, Bluetooth audio streaming for two active devices, voice command pass-through to phone, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay capability is also available in the LT model.

Features For Safety:

(NHTSA) National Highway Traffic Safety Administration modestly gave a four-star rating to the 2021 Colorado. It was, however, not picked as a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). When it comes to driver-assistance technology, Chevy's midsize pickup lacks a plethora of options. A lane departure warning, a forward collision alert, and a rear parking sensor are vital safety features in all trims, including the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado LT.
